The public sector client is looking to recruit an IT Storage and Hardware Specialist for a this 4/5 month temporary contract based in Wales. The successful candidate will have to be situated locally with the ability to travel daily to Mid-Glamorgan. Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35.

The successful candidate will be interviewed on MS Teams.

The successful candidate will have experience of the following technologies:
• Hyper V & VMWare Virtualisation – Maintenance, Management, Debugging and Diagnostics.
• Windows Server (2008 – 2019) – Maintenance, Management, Debugging and Diagnostics.
• Dell & HP Rack Server Maintenance
• Hyper Converged Infrastructure (Del VXRail)
• VMWare VRealise Suite
• VMWare NSX
Experience of the following technologies would be beneficial:
• HP 3PAR SAN Management
Veritas Netbackup

The successful candidate will be required to:
• Respond to incidents, requests and problems with minimal support and handover from current engineers.
• Perform Virtual Machine Migrations between hypervisors.
• Provision of new Services, to include Virtual Machine deployment and 3PAR Volume configuration.
• Perform server and service maintenance in the form of security patching and firmware updates to physical infrastructure.
• Contribute to and suggest service improvements.
• Assist with a data-centre migration.
