Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Senior Interaction Designer for a 12 month temporary contract based in Leeds. If your CV is successfully shortlisted for this assignment, you will be required to provide a portfolio of your previous work for the client to view.
The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted. This assignment sits inside IR35.
About the Rates of Pay: The higher pay rate advertised in our job advert/s will always be the highest Ltd or Umbrella Company pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to and the lower pay rate advertised in our job advert/s will always be the highest PAYE pay rate, that the client is willing to pay up to, unless otherwise specified. Essential Skills & Experience
Have relevant industry experience
• understand the web
• have experience of working from a digital perspective
• have experience of sketching, prototyping and iterative design
• have experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
• have experience of using a user-centred design approach
• have experience of explaining design decisions and communicating ideas in a way that other people understand
• be able to lead a workshop
• be able to help the design process work effectively
• know how to plan user research
• have experience of interpreting research and data
• have experience of handling constructive criticism of your work
• have experience of constructively reviewing other people’s work
• have experience of putting forward the case for design to senior stakeholders and product owners
• have experience of working at pace in an agile environment
Key Tasks & Deliverables
Ideally, you’ll also:
• have a design-related degree
• be able to work directly with front-end code to update prototypes – skills in HTML, CSS, and javascript aren’t essential, but all our designers learn the basics
• be able to write for user interfaces
• have experience of working on designs with a software engineer
• have experience of working in technical teams in complex environments
