Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Senior Surveyor for a 4 month temporary contract, which enables you to work fully remotely. You will be required to travel into the office for meetings.
Essential Skills & Experience
Top 3 Criteria:
1) RICS Qualified in a general practice environment
2) Land Acquisitions experience
3) Negotiation and Stakeholder skill
Desirable:
Understanding of compulsory purchase issues
Understanding of the rail industry and rail legislation
Full Driving Licence
May need to go on site visits 4/5 times a year. PPE will be provided
Key Tasks & Deliverables
Working in the Access and Acquisition team – acquiring temporary and permanent land in support of maintenance and enhancement projects on the railway.
Projects are already in motion. They will look at the pictures that have been provided and maybe meet site owners and their agents
As an example there are a caseload of about 50 projects and they will be allocated to the SS depending on what comes through and how busy they are.
In some instances, they may need to get suppliers involved.
One project that involves land at 5 different sites and might have them dealing with 5 site owners or Schemes that they support are higher in value
Qualifications, Training & Certificates
Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent MRICS qualified
Wide range of General Practice surveying experience
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Proven negotiation skills at senior level
Proven experience of managing complex property transactions
Experience of stakeholder management
Strong presentation skills
