The public sector client is looking to recruit a Cloud Administrator for this 6 month temporary contract, which enables you to work remotely.

This role supports the Core Infrastructure Directorate and the Sustainable Hybrid Cloud Transformation Programme. A Cloud Administrator is required to provide technical support and develop process relating to NHS Digitals cloud governance and account management.

Knowledge of Cloud computing, associated service offerings and operations.
Experience of monitoring enterprise services to ensure appropriate Service Levels are maintained and analysing monitoring data for and troubleshooting and reporting
· Experience of working within in a high-pressure environment, providing support for national public and internal services or equivalent
· Experience managing Active Directory and/or Azure Active Directory.
· Experience with Azure account administration using Console and CLI
· Experience with administrating AWS accounts using Console and CLI
· Able to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant technical information, consulting with others where appropriate
· Able to make informed, and effective decisions, taking onboard guidance from senior colleagues
· Some knowledge of other cloud offerings such as VMware Cloud on AWS

Work with Principal Systems Engineer to create, transition and support a centralized Account management and Identity platform for Azure / AWS. Produce documentation and knowledge articles for the future day-to-day support of NHS Digitals cloud accounts. Influence cloud account governance and assist in testing and implementing service control policies. Identify service development, automation & cost saving opportunities using cloud native toolsets.

This activity is critical to mobilising one of NHS Digital’s strategic objectives which is sponsored by NHSX. This is a key programme resource to ensure programme benefits are met which are set to deliver material cost, system engineering efficiencies and sustainability benefits.

The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted. This assignment sits inside IR35.
