The public sector client is looking to recruit a Media Manager for a 6 months temporary contract (130 working days which, can be full time or 4 days per week, depending on the candidate’s preference), based in Nottingham or Bristol. It will be mixed with remote working (the expectation is to be in on of the offices around 2 days per week). The successful candidate will have a valid DBS. Please Note: This assignment sits inside IR35.

– Experience in sending out proactive communication
– Excellent copywriter, who can write in editor’s pace
– Able to foresee challenges and issues to make sure response is swift
– Able to handle difficult media questions
– Track record of working in media, copywriting
– Social media skills would be ideal but not necessary

• Write all media and customer communications related to the Future Theory Test Service (FTTS) project to a wide range of audiences including: Driver, rider and vocational trainers, Theory test trainer bookers, Theory test candidates, local media.
• Support by drafting key messages all MP correspondence and internal communication.
• Draft reactive lines to take and robust Q&As for all key milestone announcements.
• With training, issue DVDA direct emails and Gov.notify messages using data supplied to a specified format by the FTTS team.
• Manage reactive media and social media enquiries (alongside customer service teams for social media).
• Provide briefings to customer contact centre and correspondence teams as required.
• Offer crisis management support should any issues arise or risks be realised in the project that attract external attention.
