Job Description

The public sector client is looking to recruit a PMO Reporting Management Lead for a short term contract, which will run up until the end of August 2021, however, is likely to be extended thereafter.

Job Purpose:
We are looking to recruit a candidate who has experience in setting up and managing a PMO environment. You will be tasked in doing so in a central government department, and experience in having done this previously is highly desirable, especially within a digital programme.
The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted.

Essential Skills & Experience

Essential:
Central Government experience.
Experience implementing governance structures, ideally in a new programme
Experience building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including at senior levels
The identification and management of risks, issues and dependencies
Experience in a project, programme, or portfolio including planning, risk management and assurance
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
Line management experience.
Evidence of qualification/ professional membership e.g.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
• Agile Project Management Practitioner
• Management of Risk Practitioner
Desirable:
Experience in a digital project, programme, or portfolio including risk management and assurance
Experience of working across departmental boundaries.
Collaboration
Knowledge management
Working with ambiguity

Developing and running governance and
reporting structures, processes and
products
Planning
Managing and monitoring programme risks
and issues
Managing finances and resourcing
Building strong relationships and channels
of communication across the GGMF
Stakeholder engagement
Management of 1 x PMO Support Officer
