Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Mac Support Engineer for a 12 month temporary contract based in Leeds. During the course of this assignment you will be able to work partly remotely (3 days a week at home) and partially in the office (for the remaining 2 days per week).
Essential Skills & Experience
Technical
– Rich experience supporting Mac OS and MacBook Hardware, including all complementary software along with imaging and patching devices using Jamf Pro, zero touch deployment experience a bonus
– Proven experience managing and supporting an Active Directory environment including creating users and groups
– Experience building and managing Windows Server, including patching
– Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including creating and managing users and mailboxes – Experience or interest in administering Red Hat Linux.
Desirable
– Jamf 200 / 300 qualification
– ITIL exposure
– Previous experience of OKTA
– Experience using both Jira and Confluence
Key Tasks & Deliverables
Who are you and what will you do: We’re seeking a Mac OS IT Support Professional with strong hands-on experience delivering world class end user support with proven Jamf Pro skills and exposure to Microsoft server infrastructure.
Your primary focus will be to support our 100% Mac end user estate, troubleshooting and solving a diverse range of problems along with imaging new devices using Jamf Pro. You’ll also be resolving system access requests and managing account creation and administration via Active Directory.
Qualifications, Training & Certificates
Person
– Ideally have at least 2 years’ experience of macOS and Zero Touch deployment using Jamf Pro
– Have an excellent understanding of imaging and managing client endpoints
– Have a compelling knowledge of supporting common macOS applications e.g. Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
– Ideally, you’ll be familiar with scripting and automating desktop processes – Problem solver prepared to learn new things.
The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted. Ideally the client is looking for candidates with an SC Clearance. If however you do not possess this clearance, you will need to be eligible to have an SC Clearance sponsored for you by the client, which can be done, whilst you are in post. This assignment sits inside IR35.
