Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Planned Outage Co-ordinator for a 12 month temporary contract based in Corsham. The client would like the successful candidate to work onsite for at 2/3 days a week and the rest of the remaining days can be worked remotely. The successful co-ordinator must have a valid SC Clearance.
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum Requirement:
• Has a good understanding of ICT infrastructure and end user ICT technologies
• Excellent planning, organisational, communication and facilitation skills
• Can manage workload priorities to ensure achievement within agreed timescales
• Has a methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of relevant industry standard methodologies, frameworks & best practices (ITIL)

Key Tasks & Deliverables
This role is responsible for providing a Planned Outages Cell within the GOSCC. The GOSCC Planned Outages cell coordinate planned outages against one of the NOAs (Network Operating Authorities) key tasks: Manage & maintenance of the integrity of the Defence Network and delivering agreed levels of trusted ICT (Information Communications Technology) service to operational and business users. A “Planned Outage” is defined as a planned denial or interruption of availability of any commissioned Defence Digital service.
Posts will have staff management responsibility. Dependent on the ‘tasking’ and business need, there may be a requirement to travel to meetings within the UK.
