Job Description

The public sector client is looking to recruit an Oracle ERP Finance Consultant for a 6 months temporary assignment, which is partly office based in Milton Keynes and partly remote, with travel expected to other office sites. The successful ERP Oracle Consultant will have a valid SC Clearance and be a sole British National.   

Job Purpose:
To support the development of the ERP Financial features in an Oracle cloud ERP development. Working within the respective functional consultants within the work-stream, the functional consultant will be a PPM specialist with core key skills in Billing and Costing they must able to consider the requirements for both public sector and corporation ensuring these are correctly implemented in the configuration.

Although the role will be based in Milton Keynes, due to the scale and complexity of this Project, you will be required to be flexible in your working pattern and attend meetings in different locations when necessary. During Covid-19 lockdown all work will be done remotely, some office visits may be required to support these activities, most likely client meetings.

Travel required: The current policy of working from home is likely to remain in place otherwise the majority of time would be at the base location. A small amount of travel between UK sites may be required (London).

Essential Skills & Experience

Essential: 
1. Strong influencing skills, with the ability to drive to conclusion key decisions with senior leaders and key business stakeholders.
2. Broad knowledge of PPM Billing and Costing solutions in the Oracle Fusion product set
3. Strong bias for action and a “solution orientated” attitude
4. Able to work closely across a diverse multi-workstream programme team to expeditiously deliver results
5. Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling and succinct way in written and verbal communications
6. Good attention to detail and an ability to analyses and use data in decision making
7. Experience identifying, diagnosing and resolving issues independently; taking initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
8. Experience of business analysis and functional requirements gathering
9. Broad knowledge of Oracle/ERP modules and functionality
10. Stakeholder management and good people skills to gather requirements and agree specifications
11. Experience of working with configurable package solutions or large IT projects.
Desirable 
1. Expert knowledge of Oracle Cloud solutions within a multi-supplier, multi-tenancy, multi-release, central government context.
2. Knowledge and experience of other Oracle Cloud Finance Modules
3. Experience of Oracle consulting development methodology
4. The ability to work effectively and collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and cultures
5. Experienced in working remotely in a requirements, design and configuration role.

Key Tasks & Deliverables

You will:
Require a background in Oracle financials, particularly in the development and implementation of Billing and Costing to support a solution which spans both FCDO and it’s supporting commercial operations. Skills include the analytical review of the existing backlog, business processes and both as-is and to-be models to determine the functional requirements. The ability to convert that requirement to a design and subsequently configuration. The ability to support the business to drive out a full business process for solutions that have already been tested through SIT. The individual needs to provide the knowledge to link standard Oracle cloud processes into a full end to end process solution to include off system processes

Role Deliverables:
Overarching goals of this work package
The Functional consultant defines the requirement, converts it to a compliant design and then configures it working within a small team of Oracle fusion experts. Once developed and accepted the consultant will then support ERP through the latter stages of testing. This to include setting up of scenario’s, debugging and proving the configuration against complex business scenarios.

This assignment sits outside IR35, therefore, enabling you to work through a Ltd or Umbrella Company.
