Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Junior Analyst Programmer for 12 month temporary contract based in Crew. The client has advised that you can work remotely for 1-2 days of the week, and therefore candidates will need to be able to travel to the office site in Crew for the contract.
The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted.

Essential Skills & Experience
The resource will ideally be a recent graduate of a computer science, software engineering, electronic / electrical engineering or physics degree. An essential skill would be an eagerness to learn and an ability to communicate effectively, with a willingness to help if required.
A familiarity of Kubernetes is required, as is some knowledge of Linux, containers, Docker, HTML, CSS, Javascript, databases, networking, microservices and testing frameworks.
It is acceptable that the resource has relatively little experience but a solid technical grounding in the fundamentals of modern software development is critical.
Key Tasks & Deliverables
Working directly with Development Team to test and further develop the acumen application. Some experience in Python is essential, though if they are familiar with a different language, they will be able to pick up what is needed. They will also need to have at least some familiarity with Git (version control, making pull requests, dealing with issues) but this can be taught.
