Job Description

The public sector client is looking to recruit a HR caseworker for 9 month temporary full time position, which is based in London. This assignment is a hybrid position and you will be required to work in the office between 1-3 days per week, depending on the business needs of the client. If an offer of employment is made, you will be required to attend a 10 day training/induction based in London.

Due to the nature of this assignment the client must be a UK National.

Essential Skills & Experience

You will have: 

Experience analysing complex information from multiple sources, with keen eye for attention to detail
Experience in using government policy to make decisions
Experience of working to strict policies and procedures
Ability to clearly articulate and justify decisions based on policy
Experienced in working to tight deadlines in high pace and sensitive operational environment
Delivering at pace – daily targets for cases
Previous Casework Experience
Experience of problem solving

Demonstrate excellent communication and written skills. understanding of English, especially written

Stakeholder Management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Tasks & Deliverables

Good knowledge of Data Protection                                                                                                                             •
Competent with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PP, Excel, Teams etc.)
Experience of working to tight deadlines
Exposure to graphic/disturbing material and stories. Requirement to discuss up front with candidates to ensure they are resilient and ok with this
The client is ideally looking for candidates who are or who have worked in similar roles
You will have a good understanding of Data Protection
You will be empathetic
You will need to be able to stick to client policy and you will be able to make decisions based on policy, not on emotion

 

Qualifications, Training & Certificates

Essential:
The successful candidate will have caseworker experience and be well versed and competent using Microsoft Office.

Desirable:
Home Office/Police/Immigration background
Experience dealing with complex cases

The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted. This assignment sits inside IR35.
