Job Description
The public sector client is looking to recruit a Digital Product Manager for a 6 month temporary contract, which enables you to work remotely, however, the client is based in Swindon.
About the client and the job:
Innovate UK supports ambitious innovative businesses through Innovate UK EDGE, and this role will focus on ownership of Innovate UK EDGE’s digital products and digital marketing. This role works closely with the Business Growth Marketing and Comms Manager. The role will focus on owning key updates to www.innovateukedge.ukri.org, managing email marketing and social media, managing changes to all digital assets and taking a steering role on large digital campaigns to support the promotion of our business growth services. The role will also work closely with representatives from our EDGE stakeholders and partners on marketing and novel digital asset development, requiring consistent and user-centred implementation.
Experience:
Essential Skills & Experience
Essential –
• Demonstrable experience of delivering website projects to GDS standards and based on users need
• Considerable experience of digital marketing across all major disciplines – content, web, advertising, social and email
• Effective project and budget management skills
• Experience of delivering against digital KPIs
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Experience as an Agile product owner
• Salesforce or other CRM integration experience
Key Tasks & Deliverables
• As the product owner for the EDGE website you will ensure all updates are user-focused, accurate timely and justifiable – and be confident in managing developers and overseeing technical integrations (eg. CRM)
• You will understand and execute digital marketing strategies to complement wider marketing and comms activities (e.g. digital campaigns)
• You will define and get user buy in for product definition, structure and architecture and delivery approach to support the above.
• You will procure and manage a number of external suppliers to support the above
• You will work with colleagues across the network and across IUK and UKRI to influence change
• You will continue work on improving digital analytics, applying qualitative and quantitative user data to marketing and web development
• You will communicate credibly with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders internally and externally
Desirable:
• You will have the ability to write good content for the web, email and social, and know your way around Drupal based CMS in particular
• You will have previous experience of managing public procurement processes
Qualifications, Training & Certificates
Desirable –
• Private and public sector experience in a marketing environment
• Demonstrable creative thinking skills
• Successful management of senior and stakeholders with conflicting demands and priorities
• Educated to degree-level or post graduate level in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience
• Other professional qualifications advantageous
