The public sector client is looking to recruit a Cloud Architect Specialist for a 4 month temporary contract, which allows you to work remotely. The client is looking to recruit candidates who can start immediately.

Please Note: This assignment sits inside of IR35. The successful candidate will have a valid DBS.

• This is a senior position within the ICT Department and is a key role in ensuring that NECS make effective use of cloud platforms to deliver efficient and robust ICT services
• This role will lead the adoption of cloud services where appropriate ensuring the most appropriate solutions are deployed across our customer base. It will also safeguard NECS cloud platforms through appropriate management controls, processes and procedures.
• To lead the strategic planning of current and future Cloud solutions for NECS and its customers, researching and reviewing recognised best practice, and upcoming changes into technology and the need to consolidate services optimising available resources.
• The post holder will provide subject matter expertise for traditional licensing models and Cloud subscription costs ensuring the organisation returns maximum benefits on investments made with particular emphasis on Microsoft services.
• To justify, secure, set and effectively manage revenue budgets, ensuring value for money and realisation of benefits ensuring the total cost of ownership is fully understood.
• As a senior member of the team you will be required to mentor and coach other members of the ICT infrastructure team technically, behaviourally and culturally in line with Cloud based approaches to service delivery.
• You may be asked to be a member of the ICT infrastructure teams out of hours emergency support rota.

• Demonstrable experience of defining and agreeing an appropriate cloud platform and architecture strategy for an organisation
• Experience in a similar fast paced, mission critical environment with multiple, competing demands
• Experience negotiating with external suppliers for equipment or services; this will require written specification or briefs to be created outlining the required technical solutions that external suppliers or
• NHS experience
• In depth understanding of Microsoft’s traditional and cloud based licencing approach CV, Interview, Course Certificates, References contractors will then action

• Experience and qualifications / certifications gained will be equivalent to the level of knowledge gained through a Masters Degree

• Capacity to understand highly complex facts or situations requiring analysis and interpretation with the ability to investigate and resolve complex IT technical issues, where there are a number of options available using established techniques and available resources
• Highly specialist analytical skills to interpret complex technical specifications and requirements to derive work plans for the team
• Understanding of technologies deployed in large scale corporate environment.

Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience
Vmware VCP or equivalent experience
Relevant cloud accreditation (Azure or AWS)
