The public sector client is looking to recruit a Chartered Surveyor for a short term temporary contract of 3 months based in one of the locations listed – within East Anglia, working from the office 1-2 days per week (Peterborough, Norwich, Ipswich, Chelmsford, Welwyn Garden City or Brompton).

The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or if a job offer is made by the client. Please note: This assignment sits inside IR35.

Dealing with a large individual case load, including providing expert witness evidence at appeals and public inquiries, delivering quality work to deadlines. Involvement in estate management, land/ property disposals and valuation also required. Recording time spent on cases for charging purposes and delivering value for money. Commercial or rural expertise preferred (this is not a role for building surveyors or project management).

Providing technical advice and guidance to clients in relation to compulsory purchase and access and rights over land. Negotiating compensation and arranging settlement.

Minimum Requirements:
• Commercial or rural chartered surveyor (preferably rural)
• ASSOCRICS, MRICS and/ or FAAV qualified
