Job Description

The public sector client  is looking to recruit a Associate Project Manager for a 6 month temporary contract which allows you to work remotely. The successful candidate will have a valid DBS. Please Note; This assignment sits inside IR35.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Able to support negotiations within and across teams and stakeholders to resolve differences of opinion and conflict. Adapts communication style depending on audience and has an ability to influence for positive results.
• Awareness of the Agile manifesto and agile principles, agile practices and culture and how they can be used to help deliver products, services and benefits and how they operate and integrate together across the system for different methodologies such as portfolio, programme, project and product delivery.
• Comfortable working in complexity with an ability and willingness to learn at pace
• Thrives working with diverse groups of stakeholders solving their problems and adding value to their operating environment.
• Ability to cope under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
• Enjoys being an active contributor to multi-disciplinary teams addressing business challenges.

Key Tasks & Deliverables

• Undertakes the tracking of work against the portfolio, delivery or benefits plans, reviewing progress against milestones and targets, and taking ownership by resolving impediments to progress. Includes delivery of own work and of others.
• Undertakes effective project/product/benefits delivery controls, including quality and risk & issue management processes and assumptions on small to medium sized projects/products or across the portfolio, including identifying areas of non-compliance and escalating as required.
• Supports contract and supplier management activity. Suppliers and agreements may be internal/within the NHS and care system. This may include input into procurement documentation, activity and discussions.
• Identifies and supports the management of changes to work area scope and requirements using change management techniques within the project or across the portfolio
• Supports on providing insight, analytics and oversight including facilitating reporting and designing management information dashboards in a project, across a large and complex multi-system programme and/or portfolio ensuring continuous improvement.
• Supports the development and introduction of new processes which may be system wide to enable delivery of portfolio/project/product objectives and improve efficiency.
• Supports the recommendation and application of continuous improvement activities to improve functionality, scalability and stability as well as for preventative and corrective actions.
