Job Description

The public sector client is looking to recruit 3 Policy Leads, who can work for a short term temporary contract of (4 months or up until end of January 2022). The contract enables you to work remotely throughout the whole project.

Essential Skills & Experience

Each Policy Lead must possess the essential skills & experience listed:
Must have POLICY DEVELOPMENT not just Advisory – Must be at the senior level
Drafting presentations
Need to hit the ground running
Must have Senior Stakeholder and Board presentation skills – Internally & external clients

Key Tasks & Deliverables

I have highlighted the requirements for each individual job for each Policy Lead for your perusal: Three roles are included in the scope of this business case:
Policy Lead 1: 
• Support the Senior Policy Lead on the Recruitment and Retention Strategy including:
o Management of interactions with the Probation Operational Management Committee (POMC) including engagement, planning, reporting, creating communications
o Strategy communications and updates
o Stakeholder engagement
o Project planning
o Scoping Strategy refresh
o Topical briefing/correspondence

Policy Lead 2:
• Supporting the development of policy for Hard to Fill Sites including:
o Newly Qualified Officer retention
o Housing options
o Pay
o Wellbeing
o First deployment scheme
o Career progression
o Engagement
o Developing tailored plans/solutions
o Collaborating with prison colleagues to identify common themes and learn from best practice

Policy Lead 3:
• Support the Senior Policy Leads in developing Equality Analyses for:
o Policy development within the Recruitment and Retention Strategy
o PQiP recruitment
o Role Reviews
• The development of the analyses will include:
o Working with data analysts to measure current performance
o Collaborating with experts to analyse the cause of current performance and identify opportunities
o Making recommendations including development of deployment plans, stakeholder engagement and communications, and risk and issue analysis

Qualifications, Training & Certificates

The successful candidate will have a valid DBS or be willing to apply for one on CV submission or when a job offer has been made and accepted. This assignment sits inside IR35.
About the Rates of Pay: The higher pay rate advertised in our job advert/s will always be the highest Ltd or Umbrella Company pay rate that the client is willing to pay up to and the lower pay rate advertised in our job advert/s will always be the highest PAYE pay rate, that the client is willing to pay up to, unless otherwise specified. If the PAYE rate is not indicated in the job advert then please contact us for confirmation of the PAYE daily pay rate.
